They said it was an accident, but the reality is, it hasn’t happened yet…. Linda Hanson is living the days of her life out of order…

The last time I saw Sandra Bullock in a movie was in The Lake House, with his co-Speed co-star Keanu Reeves. Last night, I saw her latest movie, Premonition. Excitement and thrill from beginning till the end.

The movie starts with Linda preparing her girls to school and going for a jog. Then there’s  knock on her door. A policeman, tells her that her husband died in a car accident.  She then wakes up, apparently the next day to find out that her husband, Jim is alive. Then the next day, she’s attending Jim’s funeral. Till she founds out that something is really messed up and that there is somehow some thing’s wrong with the whole thing.

I like these kinds of movies, the mind-numbingly way of presenting the story, the twist, the randomness. In general, I love movies that makes my head hurts by having time related sequences.

The Memento-ish flow of Premonition will have your head spinning and not in a good way. At least in Memento things eventually tied together and made sense.

Story from Yahoo

“Transformers,” the big-budget movie about alien robots battling on Earth, raked in $67.6 million at box offices over the weekend to land at No. 1 and bring its seven-day total to a record $152.6 million, according to studio estimates on Sunday.

Computer-animated “Ratatouille,” about a cuisine-loving rat who longs to be a chef in Paris, fell one notch from last week to come in No. 2 with $29 million, boosting its 10-day total to $109.1 million, and action adventure “Live Free or Die Hard,” starring Bruce Willis, was No. 3 with $17.4 million.

“Transformers” is based on the 1980s toys that shift shape from cars and planes to become alien Autobots and Decepticons warring against each other here on Earth.

The toys have built a loyal fan base of mostly boys and young men, and they turned out in droves for the movie. But curiously, the film’s co-producers at Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks said the second-biggest group of supporters was mothers, who recommended the movie almost unanimously.

“We knew we had hard-core fans who wanted to come, (but) literally every one of the (major audience) groups turned out,” said Rob Moore, president of worldwide marketing and distribution at Paramount.

Moms, in particular, “see the movie and see the spirit with which it is done — the fun of it,” Moore added.

“Transformers” debuted in a limited number of theaters on Monday and began a widespread release on Tuesday in the United States and Canada ahead of the U.S. Independence Day Holiday.

Nicolas Cage is one of the most versatile actor in his time and at the same time my favorite and Next is his latest action movie! And it is far out! The movie’s tagline fits very well – ‘If you can see the future, you can save it.’

Next is based on the Philip K. Dick story “The Golden Man“. I will definitely get a copy of that book when I see a copy.

Nicolas Cage plays a man with the unique ability to see future events and affect their outcome. Knowing this ability, he is being pursued by the FBI, so he can help them prevent a global terrorist threat.

I just finished the movie… Superb! But………… I need a sequel!

John McClane is back! Still living in New York, divorsed, and his daughter Lucy doesn’t want to talk to him.

Bruce Willis (John McClane) and Justin Long (Matthew Farrel – woah Matt!) makes a wonderful couple! :-) .. Matthew Farrel is a hacker who unknowingly helped the terrorist with the code to enter one of the US high secured secret facility, where they back up all the financial data of the country.

McClane is supposedly bring Farrel to the FBI (suspected of the hacking activity) when things got very exciting. Where cars go flying and hitting choppers exciting. :-)
If you’ve ever seen the first 3 Die Hard movies, you will not be disappointed with this one. The story line is timely. Terrorist here are high tech hackers that infiltrated all US network – the transportation, communications, medical, heck even the White House!

So, should you see this movie? Hell you bet’cha! (Unless you’re not into action movies that is.)

Post as seen on Everything-Eli.com

Though yesterday was the movie’s second day of showing, it was still the first weekend so lines are long to the ticket booth. Apparently everyone wants to see the film.I grew up with the animated cartoon series The Transformers so I am very much familiar with the characters in it. (But let me tell you, for those who doesn’t know… In the movie, he’s not bumblebee.. :-)

I love the effects! It was superb! It’s like almost watching Toy Story :-)

The story revolves around the ‘All Star’ also known as ‘The Cube’. Apparently this powerful thing is the one that creates life on cybertron.

Megatron stumbled into earth in finding The Cube few hundreds years back. He managed to get the coordinates but he was frozen on the arctic. He was discovered by an explorer and the coordinates was printed on the explorer’s eye glasses.

This eyeglases is what both the Autobots and Decepticons are after. In order to find the Cube they have to have the coordinates of the eyeglasses.

This is where the humans are caught in between. Autobots must get the cube but have to protect human lives. Decepticons however will destroy anything in their path to get a hold on the said Cube.

1. “Bauer” – (Jack answering the phone)

If you don’t agree, well post your favorite 24 one liner. :-)

Bauer 24 Season 6 finaleAfter dealing with terrorists who are planning to assassin (then) Senator David Palmer and at the same time rescuing his kidnapped family (season 1) then stopping a nuclear bomb from detonating in Los Angeles (season 2) then becoming a slave for heroin and had to re-infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel in order to keep it from acquiring a deadly virus (season 3) and working as a body guard for the US Secretary of Defense and stopping a number of Nuclear Power from meltdown and retrieving the nuclear football case after Air Force 1 was shot down from the sky (season 4) and having been flushed out from hiding because the few people that knows that he’s alive are being murdered and stopping the terrorist in using a nerve gas (season 5), Jack Bauer has just recently completed his latest mission so far – to recover the suitcase nuclear devices.

Season 6 started when Jack Bauer, being a prisoner by China for 20 months , is released under a deal arranged by President Wayne Palmer. Jack is immediately asked to sacrifice himself to.

The President has given little choice since there have been a number of bombings that happened in the country and Abu Fayed agreed to point them to Hamri Al-Assad, the master mind of all the bombings if the US Government will give him Jack.

It turns out that Abu Fayed is the terrorist behind all those attacks and the explosion of the nuclear bomb in Los Angeles. Jack, no longer as confident of himself, refuses to help the US government to help. But eventually he did.

All in all, 24’s season 6 is still jam-packed with action and suspense! And just like the past seasons, the plot are enticing and thrilling. You can’t wait for the next episode to air!

And now that the season is over, I’m sure the all 24 fans couldn’t wait for January 2008 for the next season to air.
