The Truman Show!

Finished watching The Truman Show (again and again) last night using my iPod Video 30GB.

Being one of my favorite movie, I never get tired of watching it.

Jim Carrey has a reputation of being goofy. He still is in this movie although I still felt sad after watching the movie.

The movie is all about Truman, literally. From the moment of his conception until manhood, he was in front of a cameras and was televised 24 hours a day!

An entire human life recorded on an intricate network of hidden cameras. And broadcast live and unedited 24 hours a day, seven days a week to an audience around the world!

Talk about reality TV. Talk about Pinoy Big Brother.

The world where Truman lives (called Seahaven Island) was designed and engineered by Christof. I pity Truman having been isolated from the ‘real’ world. Living his life as if it was real. But in the end with his passion of knowing the truth, and finding the love of his life, he finally got out.

Over all, the concept is all original and story deserves a two-thumbs up!

Orange and Lemons’ Moonlane Gardens

This is a very nice album for all Orange and Lemons speaking for both the fans and not-so fans. Congratulations to the group (and I hope I’m invited to the celebration party! You guys are one rockin’ Pinoy Band!

This is another themed album just like Eraserhead’s Fruitcake, Bryan Adams ‘A Day Like Today’ and of course the greatest album of all time, The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”.

Being a very big Beatles fan myself, I listened to Moonlane Gardens looking for any Beatles connections in the songs – both in lyrics and in melody – because we all know that the geniuses behind Orange and Lemons are also big Beatles fan (right?).
